Chickenhawk formed in Leeds during a random jam one lazy Sunday afternoon in late 2004.

Songs were written and in January 2005 three were chosen for a demo which was self released and met with many positive reviews. CHICKENHAWK are a mix of Avant-garde prog ideals mixed with chaotic rock and metal taking influences from such luminaries as: The Melvins, Metallica, Oxes, Mike Patton, Dream Theater, Danny Elfman, Buckethead, and Dillinger Escape Plan.

Signed to Brew in Leeds, they’ve toured incessantly, and in the past six months have picked up their speed (if that were at all possible) been played by Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, featured on NME.com, and have just had a zombie attack video directed by acclaimed music photographer Danny North.

World domination surely awaits.
