The Garden Party

Summer 2015 welcomes the return of The Faversham Garden Party celebrating 10 Years this August with an exceptional two day festival over the August bank holiday weekend, 29th – 30th, at the Tetley Brewery.

Partnered with some of the biggest brands in music including Sound Channel, The Warehouse Project, Canal Mills, Chibuku, Metropolis, Now Wave and Eat Your Own Ears, The Garden Party will host a plethora of live acts including Roising Murphy, Yasiin Bey aka Mos Def and Little Dragon plus DJ acts including Kerri Chandler, Julio Bashmore and Joy Orbison. With support from Leeds Indie Food Fest and Mad Ferret, the Garden Party Leeds is set to be the cultural highlight of the summer as guests can discover culinary delights through the UK’s most delectable street food trucks, take part in some fine dining in the on-site restaurant, or immerse themselves in art installations.

Beacons Metro

Beacons Metro is a new concept for 2015. Brought to you by the Beacons Festival team, the green fields and valleys of the Yorkshire Dales have given way to a series of exciting residencies in Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool.

Moving to October 2015, Beacons will be taking over an incredible 3 storey, former textile mill in the heart of Leeds city centre. Collaborating with some amazing partners to deliver a full 12-week program of cutting edge music, art, film and food events in over 11,000 square feet of previously unused space.

In Manchester and Liverpool the Beacons team will be collaborating on a number of exciting events in some amazing spaces.

A full programme and list of partners will be revealed in April 2015.

Best Kept Secret

Best Kept Secret

Musical discovery set on a beautiful site is central to Best Kept Secret Festival. A short drive from Eindhoven (Holland) the music is focused on new acts, bands, diverse musical styles, producers and artists. Previous acts have included Arctic Monkeys, Elbow, Lykke Li, Pixies, Mogwai and Danny Brown.

 

The surroundings, nearby bungalows and campsite, beach, swimming lake, good food and drinks contribute to the amazing atmosphere (The Festival only launched in 2013 too).

 

2015 welcomes acts Alt-J, Noel Gallagher, The Libertines, Royal Blood, SOHN, Chet Faker, Hookworms, Eagulls, A$AP Rocky and many many more.

Featuring grassroot level venues to world renowned Brudenell and First Direct Arena. See the future headliners in small intimate spaces with a strong alumni featuring Ed Sheeran, Mumford and Sons, London Grammar, Royal Blood, Alt-J, Jake Bugg and The 1975. Slam Dunk Festival

The annual touring festival that evolved from an alternative punk/emo and ska night at Leeds’ Cockpit music venue (RIP) is fastly approaching festival number ten. Starting at Millennium Square as a one off show, it now takes place over three cities and features a mixture of up and coming and more established bands (Kerrang cover stars). Bands to have appeared include Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Story of The Year, You Me At Six, Alkaline Trio and Reel Big Fish.
Slam Dunk Festival picked up Best Festival at the 2014 Kerrang! Awards, a testament to the dedication of the strong team behind the festival.

I Like Press are part of the core team delivering the inaugural festival in May 2015. Set up to look after Leeds’ every growing indie food scene.

Think pop-up events in spaces you might not expect, and one of a kind back-stage experiences to learn a new skill or pick up some tips from those in the know. Cheer on your favourite kitchen in a burger slam, catch a haute cuisine documentary, learn to tell your IPAs from your Imperial Stouts, or experience your favourite restaurant as you’ve never seen it before.
