What an excellent couple of days at Live At Leeds and a great bank holiday weekend!

Now we have to say a huge thank you and farewell to Live At Leeds for another year. Saturday was jammed packed with exciting treats, bringing together some of the best upcoming local acts alongside a list of well established acts, all supported by local and independent business’s throughout the city. The weekend saw performances from Hookworms, Eagulls, The Cribs, Thurston Moore, George The Poet, Saint Raymond and many many more great acts spread across the whole day. Belgrave Music Hall held the fort as the social centre of the bustling Live at Leeds with free pizza on offer from in-house Dough Boys for all LAL wristband holders.

Catch up with some of the news from the weekend over at WOW 247 here. If you were looking to see where the places were to be for both food and music over the Saturday the guys over at VIVA Lifestyle managed to catch Leeds newcomers based bands and Australian rockers Bad//Dreems, whilst grabbing grub over at Bundobust and Belgrave Music Hall.

Meanwhile, on the road Black Moth have brought their tour of the UK with Amplifier to an end. The band released their new single ‘Looner’ which was featured in Classic Rock’s top tracks of the week. Check out their new video ‘Looner’ which premiered over on Metal Hammer. In other news, Music For Nations announced last week that they are set to re-release four albums from Spirtual Beggers on coloured vinyl on the 29th June.

This week leads into the opening of Leeds Indie Food Festival, and we are all very excited to see what the next couple of weeks has to offer. Leeds Indie venue packs have been distrubed throughout the city and amongst each venue involved in LIF 15′. Head over to their website here for details on who’s involved and how to pick up your own passport and to keep updated on any recent festival additions. Last week, also saw the release of this week’s Guardian guide featuring our very food festival, head over to the Guardian Guide to read what Leeds Indie have got lined up for the next couple of weeks.
